So I tossed a salad

Yesterday was going to be a good day and night I got to sleep with out having to get up in the morning, and at night I was going to one of my buddies weddings. So I got home from work around 5a.m. Friday which was okay because Crystal was off so I didn't have to get up at 7:30a..m. to take Alyvia to school I got to sleep to 1:30p.m. I felt great. I got up ate something small because Crystal said that the place where the wedding was going to be has lots of food then I took out my suit for the wedding and proceeded to get ready around 3:30p.m. We got to the hall around 5:40p.m. we got to see all my friends and talk for a little while. The service was short and nice, around a half hour the best part was when they left the alter they walked the the Peanuts theme music. Now it's time for the cocktail hour all the different foods I didn't know where to start. As I walked around the second room looking through all the food I see some ice sculptors as I get closer to one of them I realize that it was the one an only Mr. Met that's right the Mets guy with a baseball head pretty cool even to a Yankee fan. Now It's time for the party My friend and his new wife walk into the room to the music of Superman COOL, so we're all having a good time the best man who was also my best man gave a really good speech guess it helps that he writes for a living. The appetizer was pene with vodka sauce I got a little nervous eating it because I have a problem with cream sauces. Now the salad Cesar I love it I ate the whole thing. I just can't wait for dinner I got the Prime Rib when it came out it looked like a work of art and the smell was out of this world, but wait why does the room feel like it's starting to spin I only had like 5 beers and they were mini glasses it couldn't be that. I have to get out of this room all I can hear is my buddy Joey telling his girlfriend that he can't stand her and he wants her to leave now and the banging of the music. I run to the bathroom grab the stall with a sink in it so I'm thinking it's the pene so I quickly took off my white shirt because I wasn't getting red on my dress shirt, but when it happens all I tossed up was the salad I just didn't under stand why. I felt better already so now I'm cleaning up my mess when I hear the best man and ask him to tell Crystal that I got sick but I'll be out soon. So I get back to the table and Joey and his girl are still fighting and now I'm starting to sweat a lot I run back to the bathroom fearing the worst but nothing happens now I got my friends checking on me (thanks guys that meant a lot) when I come out again everyone said that I was as white as my shirt, and that no one else ate the salad because it tasted sour, I'm so stupid. I was okay the ride home and fell asleep as soon as I got home. I was able to get up at 8:30a.m. starving had some toast took my youngest to Wal-Mart (sorry Ken) and did some yard work. So I'm feeling a lot better I just feel bad that I couldn't say goodnight to Mikey and his wife.

Busy Busy Busy

Okay so its been a while since I've written anything, so where do I start? Work is going good I work around 45-50 hours a week and I really don't mind besides I love the overtime pay. My kids just got back their report cards and Alyvia made Honor Roll for the second time this year. That's more I can say for myself. Jyllian did good but not as good as she can do (she doesn't like to do her homework) Jyllian also turned 12 yesterday and for her party she had a sleepover. She had 3 girls from school 1 from dance class and 2 cousins... THEY WERE UP TILL 4 IN THE MORNING AND UP AT 8!!! But it did go better then I thought it was going to. Well it's back to work tonight and I'm trying a new shift 10pm-6am but some days I have to go in at 8pm tonight is one of them. My mom is doing real good her hair is growing back and is back to work full time. Overall she's feeling pretty good. So this weekend coming up I have to go to a Mets game, and I'm asking all my fellow Yankee fans that are attending to where their Yankee hats out of respect for the real New York team. I'm not a Mets hater, its just that I'm not getting a Mets hat just for this occasion. Well looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend gotta go the battery is going to die soon.

A new begining

So I started my new job this week and it went really good. I work with some nice people and the Plant Manager is cool too. As of now I work Sunday-Thursday 6pm-2am I haven't worked a 5 day week in over 12 years and I sure was tired by the time Friday came around. I'll say this that I had no idea what a state of t he art pre-press was like till now. All I do is baby sit 2 robots check date lines and page numbers. I also volunteered to help out in the mailing department we label around 3,000 papers for the NY Times which has been keeping me at work till at least 3 am. I'm getting use to the drive, I drive more in one day then I used to all week at the old job. One night as soon as I got on the on ramp to go home there was an overturned truck blocking where I had to go that was a 20 min. delay and Friday with all that snow and working till 4am I didn't get home until 5am. I just can't wait for the work to pick up so we have work the whole night instead of trying to find things to do. So I'm happy that I chose to work for these guys I can tell it's going to be a good place to work.

Winter Training

No I'm not talking about any sport I'm talking about my new job. I had a meeting today and was told that I'll be starting this Friday. I will be hired as a part time employee until my job closes it's doors. I'm so glad that they finally got the ball rolling so I can get the training I need so when I'm full time I know what the hells going on. I am a little nervous but I guess that's normal for starting a new job. So only time will tell if this is the place for me, and remember if you know any press or pre-press jobs that are hiring give me a shout.

BOO!!

I just found out today that my job will stay open an additional 2 weeks (maybe more) because the new place is not ready.

Resolutions

1. Try to lose some weight and by some I mean something like 120 pounds.

2. Succeed at my new job. That's right for those that follow I got the new job.

3. Try not to piss off my wife as much.

Well I think that's a good list I'm sure I'll do good with #2 but the rest who the hell knows. Also for the people that know my mom's situation we just found out yesterday that her cancer is all gone and will be coming home soon.
