The not so BIG game

As some people know I have been having Super Bowl parties for the last 6 years. It's very hard to say that this year we will not be having one. To tell the truth I have no idea why. Mabe it's because it Sunday or mabe it's hard for some of my friends to make it or the fact that my wife went on a shopping spree and spent around $7500.00 on all new furniture for the Living Room and our Bedroom. Now I realy don't have a problem with that because our bedroom set used to belong to my Grandparents. Thats right it's about 33 years old even though it is in very good shape. I said who the hell cares no one else goes in our room but us (I hope) but I guess its a woman thing. Now I have be saying that I'm going to get a new TV for about a year and she has stood strongly against the idea. I've been told that I will have to live in the box if I bought one. So through this whole shopping thing I kept my mouth shut and I guess she felt bad and said "I guess if you want to by your dam tv you can". So we are now getting a new 50" HDTV and the kicker is I'm not even going to be home to see the game on it.
