Work Ethic

A good friend and I were talking today about how we're sick and tired of all these people at work that don't do their job, and then managment does noting about it. Now if him or I were to slack off we would probaly get an ear full or worse. For some reason when he started telling me his story I was not supprised at all, it just seemed like I was listening to myself talk. When he said that it wasn't fair I told him life was not fair, and if your not going to do something about it nothing will ever change. So I guess my question is, are we all in the same sinking boat just in different parts of the ocean?

I just realized you started this. I think we are all in the same boat, some of us just pay more attention. And that's the cruelest irony of all. We pay so much attention and take enough pride in our work that when we see everybody else around us slack off, it bothers us personally and professionally. Hate to say it, but ignorance is bliss.

Word, I am management and I see it all the time. Rest assured that the slackers do not go unnoticed and good workers do not go unappriciated. Keep your head held high. One day those people will get what they deserve and so will the men and women who find satisfaction in a job well done.
